}Cursed and what we create
We create films, campaigns, characters, animation, sound, brands, websites, online stores, web applications, mobile apps, interfaces and games. A project can be fully synthetic, combine live action with AI or connect audiovisual production with a digital product. Research, UX, art direction and development are part of our ability to build a complete idea, from concept to final experience.
We like the impossible
No brief scares us. Worlds that do not exist, unlikely characters, ambitious narratives and experiences that have yet to be invented are the challenges that drive us. We explore the problem, research, experiment and develop the creative and technical approach needed to give an idea form. The objective might be to communicate, move an audience, explain, entertain or build a new business.
A supernatural, gothic and punk identity
The name The Cursed Company and our contemporary gothic punk aesthetic express our enthusiasm for the improbable and the unconventional. The supernatural is our playful way of describing what human experience and AI help us create: extraordinary ideas, speed and efficiency. That spirit shapes our brand and the creative courage with which we develop each client’s language.

Fully synthetic media, with human direction
We can build an entire production from synthetic elements, from the image to the soundtrack. AI contributes to generation; creative direction determines what to create, how each element behaves and how everything works together. This includes:
- Images and visual worlds: digital characters, fictional people, creatures, faces, bodies, costumes, objects, products, vehicles, architecture, sets, locations, landscapes, materials, textures and lighting.
- Movement and performance: acting, expressions, gestures, choreography, action, camera movement, crowds, 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, animated typography, transformations and visual effects.
- Voice, music and sound: synthetic voices, narration, dialogue, singing, compositions, arrangements, instrumentals, scores, sound effects, foley and soundscapes.
- Assets and formats: still images, synthetic photography, illustrations, brand films, advertising, music videos, visualizers, series, narrative pilots, trailers, vertical content and campaign assets.

Films, campaigns and audiovisual communication
To introduce a company, launch a product, explain a proposition or engage a community, we develop the idea and its audiovisual language. The starting point can be a communication need, a concept or an existing script.
Possible deliverables: Brand films, campaigns, advertising, product explainers, recruitment, institutional communications, teasers, trailers, pilots and social content. Formats and versions are defined around the project’s channels and objectives.
Approach and related experience: We connect the objective, audience and message to the script, art direction, characters, editing and sound. The language can be realistic, fantastical, humorous or educational, according to the intention of each project.

}Characters, animation and world building
We create characters, creatures and environments to give form to stories, brands and content formats. Appearance, acting, expressions, gestures and setting are treated as parts of the same narrative intention.
Possible deliverables: Digital characters, visual worlds, animated scenes, 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, period scenes, imaginary worlds and series pilots. The set of assets depends on the project.
Approach and related experience: Direction establishes references, behavior and visual language before evaluating continuity between scenes. We select images, shots and edits to keep the character and world in service of the story.

}Voice, music and sound design
Sound helps tell the story: a voice introduces an idea, music shapes an emotion and a pause changes how a scene is understood. We develop these elements in relation to imagery, rhythm and the communication context.
Possible deliverables: Synthetic voices, narration, dialogue, singing, compositions, arrangements, instrumentals, scores, sound effects, foley and soundscapes, according to the production’s needs and scope.
Approach and related experience: Human direction defines intention, interpretation, cues, pauses and the relationship with editing. AI sound generation is part of production; selecting material and combining it with the film are part of the creative review.

}Hybrid productions: live action, AI and visual effects
We also combine live-action footage of people, products and locations with generated imagery, animation, compositing, VFX and digital special effects. We can plan a shoot for the project or integrate existing material, extend sets, create characters and creatures, transform elements and build scenes between the real and the imagined. Art direction, lighting, perspective, movement, editing and sound bring these layers into the same film.
The visual effects and compositing capability that also supports hybrid production is documented in: Visual effects and compositing — MONSTER BUSINESS.
Live action, compositing and visual effects
A hybrid production can combine filmed people, products and locations with generated imagery and digital effects. We can work from footage planned for the project or integrate material the client already has.
Possible deliverables: Integration of live action and AI, set extensions, characters and creatures, element transformations, compositing and visual effects. The combination of techniques is defined around the scene and available material.
Approach and related experience: Light, perspective, materials, movement, editing and sound need to work together. Monster Business documents visual effects and compositing; this specific evidence does not mean the film contains live-action footage or represents a published hybrid-production case.

}Process, efficiency and human direction
AI-native: fast execution and aggressive pricing
Artificial intelligence is part of how we think and build from the outset. We know how to choose tools, models and production approaches efficiently. This way of working saves time and money and allows us to keep costs and prices down while speeding up production. An ambitious idea can move quickly from exploration to production, with human direction guiding the decisions.
Proprietary pipelines that save time, money and tokens
We organize execution through our own optimized pipelines, connecting creative development, generation, selection and finishing. We plan what needs to be made, choose an appropriate approach for each task and focus experimentation on decisions that matter. Reducing unguided attempts, rework and unnecessary token consumption helps us deliver more value within each project’s budget and schedule.
Creative taste and cultural depth
Our taste comes from years of watching, reading, observing, experimenting and creating. That cultural experience guides what we choose, combine and discard. Taste shows up in concrete decisions: an image that surprises, a character the audience connects with, a pause that builds tension, a cut that changes the meaning. In an AI world where so much looks alike, that creative judgment gives each project character and a distinctive language.
Storytelling, emotion and creative courage
At Cursed, human direction defines what a story should make people feel and builds the path to that response. We shape tension, rhythm, pauses, turns, characters and sound to connect with an audience. We take creative risks, question predictable solutions and judge each scene by its role in the whole. We use AI to explore and execute those choices, selecting and refining until imagery, narrative and emotion work together.
Taste and human direction in every decision
Our creative judgment comes from years of cultural exploration, lived experience and making things. We understand the client’s context, define the intention and take creative responsibility for delivery. We apply AI to exploration and execution, guided by human direction across five dimensions:
- Storytelling: build tension, pauses and turns, giving each scene a role in the story and guiding the audience toward the intended response.
- Originality and risk: question the first solution, explore unexpected combinations and choose approaches that give the project character.
- Taste and cultural depth: use references and experience to recognize what deserves development, what needs refinement and what should be discarded.
- Emotion and connection: direct characters, gestures, imagery and silence that resonate with the audience and fit the communication context.
- Editing and selection: decide how long to hold a look, where to cut, when a sound enters and how scenes relate. Technical polish must serve the film’s intention.
From script to post-production, with human direction
The Cursed production process brings together briefing, scripting, storytelling, character development, visual references, world building, image and video generation, editing, sound design, color correction and finishing. We use AI wherever it contributes to efficient creation and execution. Understanding context, intention, taste, client relationships, creative decisions and responsibility for delivery remain under human direction. Artists select, revise and combine material throughout production.
From the first challenge to delivery
You can come to us with a finished script, a communication problem, a product idea or something you have yet to figure out how to make. We investigate the challenge, propose approaches, build references and prototypes, and develop the production. We apply our AI-native efficiency to connect creative language, techniques, formats, pricing and schedule. We work with the client’s team to keep the idea strong through every decision.
Bring us the challenge
Tell us what you want to create, who it is for and why it matters. It can be a detailed brief or an idea that seems too difficult to bring to life. We propose creative and technical approaches that connect ambition, speed and budget. Formats, deliverables, responsibilities, pricing and schedule are defined for the project, with our AI-native efficiency applied from the start.
How production decisions contribute to efficiency
Plan before multiplying production
The objective, audience, references, characters and environments guide what needs to be built. Focusing exploration on those decisions reduces unguided attempts and helps assess consistency before producing more scenes or assets. For the client, this connects creative ambition to the use of time and budget.
Choose the execution approach for each task
Cursed’s know-how guides the choice of tools, models and stages for what the project needs. Proprietary pipelines connect creative development, generation, selection and finishing. Efficiency comes from organizing these decisions to reduce rework and unnecessary token consumption while maintaining creative direction throughout execution.
Select for the result the idea needs to achieve
Generating material is one production stage. Direction selects and combines what supports narrative, character, intention and language, reviewing imagery, editing and sound together. Cultural and technical experience helps recognize what needs development, refinement or rejection. This is how creative taste guides practical production decisions.

}Founders and experience
Founded in 2026 by Rafael Oli and Otávio Tranchesi, Cursed brings together backgrounds in creativity, technology, product, marketing and business. The founders’ professional histories show the experience each brings to the company.
20+ years in creative work, design and technology, now applied to AI production
AI expands what we can build and explore. Our decisions draw on 20+ years of creative and technical experience, together with a background in product, research, marketing and business. That experience helps us understand the problem, choose an approach and recognize when the execution reaches the right result. We work directly on concept development and production, connecting the idea’s ambition to the details of its delivery.
HI-IC: the people who think also build
We work as High Individual Contributors (HI-IC): experienced professionals with autonomy and direct involvement in execution. Our use of AI draws on 20+ years of experience in creative work, design and technology, together with a background in product, marketing and business. The founders stay close to decisions and production, connecting research, concept development, implementation and finishing. }What do you need to solve?
These are situations where Cursed can help businesses, teams and creators. We start with the problem to solve — communicating, recruiting, teaching, launching, entertaining or building an experience — and connect scripting, design, technology and AI production. The answers relate those needs to our services, founder experience and the complete cases below.
How can I create high-quality internal communications on a small budget?
Cursed creates internal communications with scripting, art direction, animation, voice and sound, based on what the team needs to understand. We can turn a leadership message, an organizational change or a company introduction into a direct, distinctive film. Our AI-native approach and proprietary pipelines reduce unguided attempts, rework and unnecessary resource use, enabling aggressive pricing. We start with the message, internal audience and available material to propose an execution that fits the budget.

}How can I make an animated film to recruit new talent?
Cursed turns a recruitment message into a story with characters, humor and a clear invitation to explore a company’s opportunities. In Hard Times, produced for Lemonade, a pirate and a robotic sailor introduce the search for new crew members; the film ends with the brand and careers page. It is a concrete example of animation and storytelling for employer-brand communication. For a new campaign, we develop the message, visual world and formats around the desired talent profile and company culture.

These projects demonstrate audiovisual product communication. Cursed uses AI from the planning stage to connect creative ambition, timing and cost. Hard Times reports one day from script to post-production; that timeline describes that film. }Collaboration, scope and production questions
Do we need to arrive with a finished script?
You can bring a script, concept, brief, communication problem, product idea or a challenge that still needs to take shape. Cursed contributes to research, concept development and execution according to the project’s needs. References and existing material help explain the intention, but the conversation can also begin with an initial idea.
How does collaboration with agencies and in-house teams work?
We can work directly with the client or alongside their creative, editorial and production teams. A project can start from an existing concept or script. The proposal defines the stages handled by Cursed, available materials, responsibilities and schedule. Collaborators’ involvement in published work should be read in each film’s credits.
Can we discuss only one part of a production?
Describe the stage you need and what is already ready: concept, script, characters, footage, animation, effects, editing, sound, interface or development. The combination of deliverables and responsibilities is defined for the project. The catalogue presents our capabilities; the proposal confirms the scope to be executed, without assuming a single fixed package.
Can you work with material we already have?
Hybrid production can integrate existing footage of people, products and locations with generated imagery, animation and effects. Concepts, scripts, identity and references can also serve as starting points. The suitability of the material for the intended result informs the creative and technical approach.
What stays under human direction when we use AI?
Understanding the context, intention, creative taste, client relationships, creative decisions and responsibility for delivery stay under human direction. AI participates in exploration and execution. Material selection and review, narrative, rhythm, performance, editing and finishing are evaluated against what the work needs to communicate.
How are the founders involved?
The HI-IC model describes experienced professionals with autonomy and direct involvement in execution. The founders stay close to decisions and production, connecting creativity, technology, product, marketing and business. Their biographies explain the experience each brings; each case’s credits record the involvement publicly presented for that work.
How should pricing and timelines be understood?
AI-native efficiency allows us to pursue aggressive pricing and fast execution. Formats, duration, versions, available materials, deliverables, responsibilities and schedule are defined for each project. Published timelines are those reported for those cases, not a guarantee for every new brief. No universal price list or savings percentage is published on this page.

An original Cursed Company reel featuring a monster in a creative studio. Character performance, comic timing, magical visual effects and a direct-to-camera monologue explain the studio’s artist-led, end-to-end AI filmmaking approach.
Year: 2026 · Category: Reel
Original portfolio description
Reel de 68 segundos da The Cursed Company. Do roteiro à pós-produção em cinco dias.
Purpose
Introduce Cursed’s identity and method through a character film that also demonstrates its own AI audiovisual production.
Visual description
A monster with spiky red hair, textured skin, tattoos, piercings and uneven teeth speaks directly to camera. He wears dark clothes with red details in a studio containing a keyboard, editing monitors, purple lights and the Cursed flag. Caricatured proportions are combined with detailed materials, skin, hair and accessories.
The edit alternates medium shots, close-ups and extreme close-ups. Irritation, sarcasm and enthusiasm accompany a monologue about repetitive AI imagery. The line about hitting a keyboard with his head is illustrated by the corresponding physical action; lighting changes and closer framing heighten the comedy and supernatural setting.
Inserts show an automaton carrying the Cursed identity, a coin and another character manipulating fire. At the end, three characters appear together in the studio, creating golden, purple and orange energy circles and beams. The red Cursed Company signature closes the film. The subtitled version emphasizes words from the monologue as they are spoken.
Narrative sequence
- The character expresses frustration with generic images in front of the studio equipment.
- Dark lighting and close-ups accompany the phrase about the curse of the dead internet.
- The monologue introduces Cursed and lists direction, editing, effects and acting, intercut with characters and objects.
- A trio conjures energy effects in the studio before the company signature.

A cinematic brand film for EQT, produced by Cursed with João Beraldo. Photorealistic coastal, architectural, domestic and space imagery explores AI, creativity and the frontiers of human possibility.
Year: 2026 · Category: Brand film
Original portfolio description
Um filme para apresentar as empresas do portfólio da EQT como frontier labs. Produzido pela Cursed com João Beraldo.
Purpose
Present EQT’s portfolio companies as frontier labs, connecting technology and imagination in a narrative about what lies beyond current limits.
Visual description
The film opens on a beach under an overcast sky, with a man running near the water. Realistic-looking photography uses natural light, restrained colors and shots that alternate the scale of the landscape with proximity to his face. The runner establishes a sense of progress that returns at the end.
A young person wearing headphones works at a computer in a concrete space. He then appears small against a monumental wall and touches its surface. A lighthouse drawing and a coastal lighthouse connect representation with an imagined world. Elsewhere, a humanoid robot stands beside a person; a close-up of its hand on a shoulder gives visual form to the question of machines and humanity.
An isolated house in a rocky, extraterrestrial-looking landscape is linked to a man looking through a window. The film returns to the runner, then follows an astronaut across the lunar surface. The question ‘what lies beyond’ appears over a dark visor; the EQT identity closes the sequence on lunar ground.
Narrative sequence
- The beach and runner introduce the question of what lies beyond.
- A computer, monumental architecture and a hand touching a wall represent limits and creativity.
- A lighthouse, robot and domestic setting develop the relationship between imagination, technology and humanity.
- An extraterrestrial landscape and astronaut extend the theme to space exploration and the EQT signature.

An animated product story for Templ, created by Cursed and Templ Studio. Amphibian characters, pyramids and treasure turn token launches, community governance and group chat into a humorous fantasy narrative.
Year: 2026 · Category: Brand film
Original portfolio description
Um filme de marca para a Templ, produzido pela Cursed em parceria com a Templ Studio.
Purpose
Explain Templ through a character narrative, from the difficulty of launching a token to chat, treasury, governance and community decisions.
Visual description
Under an intense green sky, amphibian characters move stones and build a pyramid. A green-skinned narrator with gray hair and blue clothing reads a scroll. Bold outlines, exaggerated expressions and a setting mixing adventure, ruins and game references establish the visual language.
A purple one-eyed character appears wearing a golden ornament as the narration introduces launchpads. Coins and golden containers fill the temple interior. Spiral-eyed characters and a rush for treasure turn the pump-and-dump sequence into comedy. The narrator reacts to the group’s behavior.
The story moves to a game-like interface and characters gathering in the temple, including a woman in a blue dress and a man in adventurer clothing. The discussion of paid chat, treasury, governance and multisig accompanies the shift from individual competition to community. Green end cards show Templ, templ.fun, networks mentioned in the film and an invitation to create a chat coin.
Narrative sequence
- Pyramid construction and a scroll introduce token launches as a difficult collective task.
- A one-eyed character represents the arrival of launchpads.
- Treasure, euphoria and turmoil illustrate the narrated pump-and-dump cycle.
- A group gathered in the temple accompanies the Templ explanation and closing invitation.

A character-driven recruitment film for Lemonade. A tavern pirate complains about tireless robot sailors before the story turns into an invitation to join the crew. Cursed reports a one-day script-to-post-production turnaround.
Year: 2026 · Category: Brand film
Original portfolio description
Um filme de recrutamento para a Lemonade. Da criação à entrega final em um dia.
Purpose
Communicate recruitment for Lemonade through a metaphor of crews and new seas, following the brief presented in Cursed’s deck.
Visual description
A pirate with a curly beard, eyepatch, bandana and blue coat sits in a wooden tavern. He holds a mug beside a candle in warm lighting. The character speaks to camera as the edit alternates face details and wider views of the table.
His counterpart is a metal robot pirate, first introduced in a box and later working on a ship’s deck. The robot wears a coat similar to the sailors’ and carries a mop in daytime and nighttime scenes. Other human figures and a detail of ropes tied to the mast accompany the narrator’s complaint about trusting a pirate who rusts.
The conversation turns to crews seeking new members. The robot appears with a spyglass beside a blue Lemonade flag. The sequence closes with the logo, lemonade.gg/careers and ‘JOIN THE CREW’. Caricatured proportions, detailed surfaces and volumetric settings give the film a three-dimensional animation look.
Narrative sequence
- A tavern pirate introduces the difficulty of the times.
- A robot sailor contrasts humans with tireless machines.
- The narration introduces crews looking for people to explore new seas.
- The ship, spyglass, flag and end card lead to Lemonade’s careers page.

An animated film for the Trueo + Yearn partnership, produced by Cursed and Templ Studio. A café scene expands into robot support, electric-car traffic and an alien press conference to explain prediction markets through comedy.
Year: 2026 · Category: Brand film
Original portfolio description
Uma parceria ganha vida em um universo de personagens. Produção da Cursed e Templ Studio para a Yearn.
Purpose
Introduce the partnership between Trueo and Yearn through a humorous narrative explanation of the product.
Visual description
The film introduces a colorful city and a thin man with spiky black hair and an orange hoodie sitting in a café. A question mark appears above his cup. On his phone, ‘YES’ and ‘NO’ buttons visualize the choice between two outcomes described by the narration.
Three vignettes develop questions about the future. Robots occupy a customer support office; an angry human driver is surrounded by small cars with robot drivers; and a press room stages an extraterrestrial revelation. A fictional newspaper adds an absurd headline to the sequence’s humor.
The story returns to the café as a robot and an alien walk down the street. The ending connects the wait for markets to resolve with the yield message presented by the film. Blue end cards bring together Trueo and Yearn, their addresses, ‘TRADE THE FUTURE’ and ‘EARN WHILE IT UNFOLDS’. Dark outlines and vivid colors support recurring characters, urban settings and exaggerated expressions.
Narrative sequence
- The café, cup and phone introduce the idea of predicting events.
- Automated support, traffic and an extraterrestrial press conference illustrate possible questions through comic vignettes.
- The return to the café connects waiting for results to the partnership’s message.
- Both brands and the closing lines appear on blue end cards.

An AI microseries pilot for G4 Business. A fictional interview with Julius Caesar combines a present-day interviewer, a Roman tent and cinematic military flashbacks to discuss leadership and responsibility.
Year: 2026 · Category: Micro series / Pilot
Original portfolio description
Piloto de uma microssérie para o G4 Business, do roteiro à pós-produção em quatro dias.
Purpose
Demonstrate a microseries format that turns a leadership lesson into a dramatized interview with a historical figure.
Visual description
An interviewer wearing glasses, a white shirt and a blue jacket speaks with a character portrayed as Julius Caesar. A question about the Rubicon introduces a first-person answer. The conversation takes place at a table with parchment and flame lighting inside a Roman tent.
The film intercuts the interview with soldiers standing in rain, spears, armor, footsteps and a river crossing. Cool, dark military shots contrast with the warm conversation lighting. Close-ups and gestures accompany the character’s reflection on carrying the fate of the men who followed him.
The ending returns to the interview and emphasizes responsibility for a leader’s followers. Cards identify ‘AI MICRO SERIES’, ‘ONE ON ONE’, ‘EPISÓDIO PILOTO’ and ‘JÚLIO CÉSAR’, alongside G4. Another card announces a first season and new Tuesday episodes. These are statements within the pilot, not confirmation of a current publishing schedule. The speech is dramatized, not a historical transcript of Julius Caesar.
Narrative sequence
- The interviewer asks what lesson Caesar learned from the Rubicon.
- Rainy military shots represent a decision affecting an entire army.
- The tent interview develops the reflection on courage, loss and responsibility.

A Cursed Company initiative
ABRAVIA is a Cursed Company initiative to support AI filmmaking in Brazil. It brings creators, production studios, agencies, brands and technology professionals together around human creative direction, shared production knowledge and collaboration. Its proposed activities include screenings, workshops, conversations and recognition of emerging work.
The initiative values human creative direction and cultural knowledge throughout AI production. It aims to share practical approaches to scripts, characters, visual consistency, editing, sound and post-production, highlighting both films and the creative and technical choices behind them.
Proposed activities include film and case screenings, courses and workshops, meetups, discussions and podcasts, alongside support for festivals and awards. THE ARENA AWARDS is presented as a proposed award within this initiative.
